Myanmar Army Arrests more Villagers in Rakhine State in Recent Days May 30, 2019. Sittway Myanmar soldiers in Rakhine village  Myanmar Army arrested several villagers from Buthidaung and Kyaultaw townships recently. Myanmar Army’s combined force of LID 55 and 99 of 50 soldiers came to Minthar Daung village, Kyauktaw township, Rakhine State, Myanmar, at 4 pm on May 29. Then they arrested village Chairman Aung Thein Kyaw, 51, and Kyan Thein Aung, 50, in the village. The soldiers told the families the chairman and the villager were taken to meet the army officer for questioning. Both men have not come back homes until May 30. Their families are worry they may be tortured and killed. No further news and contacs has yet got from the arrested villagers. Myanmar Army Furor and Killed a Half Dozen Children; Arrests and Tortures Many in Rakhine State in May Third Week May 21, 2019. Sittway. Myanmar Army stopped a fishing boat and arrested nine villagers and tortured in Nargara Village, Kyauktaw township, Rakhine State, Myanmar, on May 21. The villagers went to Kalandan river for fishing in the morning. Soldiers called them to stop, but they could not hear the calls because of engine noise. Then the soldiers shot their guns to the boat. The nine villagers were briefly arrested and asked questions whether they were members of Arakan Army. The villagers answered they are fishermen and nothing to do with AA. The soldiers beaten all nine villagers, and a man was injured in his head and hands. The injured man is Tin Aye Thein. Sittway Myanmar army shot and shelled in a couple of villages, Kyuktaw Township, killed a child and wounded several other on May 19. The soldiers shot and killed a child in Myuk Chung, Kyauk Taw township at 5.45 PM on May 19. The shooting occurred after two sibling children came back from a temple nearby the village. These siblings went to the temple in evening to assist the chief monk to reload phone bills and donated some refreshment drinks. When they were coming back from the temple to the village, they heard gunfire. Then they run into the bushes. Then the soldiers randomly shot them from the back.
