Four Rakhine Villagers Charged with Terrorist Acts

Local charity workers report three Rakhine villages are charged with terrorist acts of 50 (Nya) and 52 (Ka). They were brother to the jail in Kyauk Taw township on May 17 from different locations.

U Thein Soe Aung, representative of ten household in Shwepyi village, Kyauk Taw township, Rakhine State, was arrested at his grocery ship on May 16 by Myanmar army and police. Some goods were forcefully taken by the soldiers. He was formerly charged with terrorist acts in Kyauk Taw court on May 17.

Other three villagers are Tun Tun, 30, from Sittara village, Maung Maung, 30, from Kanni village, and Hla Tun Win, 20, from Panzinmaw village. They all are from Minbya township area.

These three villagers have been arrested in Plattwa township areas in Chin State for eight months ago.

They were brought to the court in Kyauk Taw on May 17.

They do not have defense lawyers yet.

Myanmar army arrest many villagers whom are thought to be having either connection with Arakan Army or supporters of it.
