Snr General Min Aung Hlaing Requested 1,000 Karen BGF to Reinforce in Rakhine State

General Htin Maung Tun comes to Myawaddy base of BGF today (16.05.2019) and holds meeting with Major Chit Thu and Major Mokethone in their HQ. 

The meeting is about to discuss on the fighting between Arakan Army and Myanmar Army in Rakhine State and request of 1000 troops of Karen BGF by Snr Gen Min Aung Hlaing.

Credible sources report that under the instruction of Snr Gen Min Aung Haling, responsible authority of BGF affair Gen Htin Maung Tun comes to the HQ and meets tactical commander Bo Chit Thu. They discuss Myanmar Armed Forces Commander in Chief request of 1000 BGF troops to reinforce in Rakhine frontier.

This request of Myanmar army to the Karen BGF is creating more complex and complication on peace and national reconciliation process in Myanmar.

Myanmar Tatmadaw should not invoke fighting between Karen and Rakhine by using GBF troops in Rakhine state and beyond its jurisdiction.

All should respect and understand the same hardships and oppressions all ethnic people who have been bearing for decades.

In case of Gen Htin Maung Tun, Bo Chit Thu, and Bo Mokethone are fighting against Rakhine people who have as same as Kraren people’s fate for freedoms, reputation of Karen people as a whole will be disaster and nasty.

Since this news is confirm and reliable, KNU, Karen national political parties, CSOs should look it closely and then intervene it quickly because it is same like breeding hatred between the two nationalities, Karen and Rakhine.

There is in needs of unity among the ethnic nationalities in order to regain freedom, self-determination, and national identity rights.

Therefore, all leaders and people should stop Karen BGF sending its troops to Rakhine State.

Very reputation of Karen national history will be destroyed by this BGF’s nonsense and aggressive act if they agree to go to Rakhine State to fight against AA. Therefore, all Karen shall preserve its good history and national integrity by stopping this nonsense act.

State Counsellor Daw Aung San Suu Kyi and President U Win Myint should give full attention and investigate on this military request by Snr Gen Min Aung Haling as important matter as it is a threat to national unity and beyond the Myanmar army jurisdiction.
